The new edition of Polishing the Diamond, Enlightening the Mind includes additional chapters and the author's revisions. When the first edition of Polishing the Diamond was published with Wisdom Publications in 1999, it was the first Korean Buddhist book by a Korean Buddhist master that was translated into English and published in the United States. Ever since its publication, Polishing the Diamond has received favorable reviews from both Buddhist practitioners and scholars alike. His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalia Lama, in his forward to Polishing the Diamond, writes that "the readers seeking inner peace will find valuable advice in this book."
